Students of the Sloan School are required to follow the Council Rock School Board Policy on Dress and Grooming.
Students are not permitted to wear extremely brief garments such as tube tops, net tops, halter tops, spaghetti straps, and plunging necklines (front and back). See through garments are not acceptable. Backs and midsections must be covered at all times.
All shorts and skirts should be an appropriate length for school.
Students are not permitted to wear muscle shirts or pants below the waist.
Underwear must be completely covered with outer clothing.
Clothing should not include items that display profanity, vulgarity, gang references, expression prohibited by Board Policy 218.4, references to alcohol, tobacco, drugs/drug paraphernalia, or other illegal activity.
Pajama tops and/or bottoms are not permitted, except when specifically permitted as part of a school designated "pajama day".
Footwear must be worn at all times. Footwear that is a safety hazard is not allowed. Slippers are not approved and are not concidered appropriate footwear for school.
For the health, safety, and welfare of everyone, students are not permitted to wear unusually long chains (typically/traditionally used to secure wallet to belt loop) around waist, between pockets, or around the neck. Jewelry with sharp, protruding studs is unacceptable. Students are also not permitted to wear animal choker collars.
A student’s grooming shall not pose a health or safety hazard to him/herself or to others or to school district property.
