Walking Club for the 2010-2011 school year will be
held on Mondays and Wednesdays
and will begin October 4.

About the Walking Club
First, second and third grade students are the main participants in our Walking Club, but students from all grades can participate. Participants use a special card to keep track of distance walked. They walk a path around the blacktop to the sixth grade doors.  Each time they walk five times around, that is equal to one mile.  The numbers on the walking card signify miles.  Mrs. Pine punches a hole in the number each time they get a mile.

When they reach five miles they get "feet keychains" and their names get announced for 5, 10, 20 and 30+ miles on Fridays.

Big News!  This is the 10th anniversary of the Goodnoe Walking Club.  Mrs. Pine has been coordinator for nine years. Mrs. McCorry ran it the first year.  Principal Eileen Dwell started it to try to get kids to exercise.  Let's make this the most successful year for the Walking Club!
