Welcome to Rolling Hills! We are glad you joined our school and hope this information eases your transition into our community. This will ensure that you automatically get sent the information that you need since CRSD is paperless! Rolling Hills Home and School Association: We welcome you to join the RHHSA. Your membership fee directly benefits the students. You will also receive a school directory as a gift for joining. Back to School Party: Held at the beginning of the school year, the Back to School Party is fun for everyone. There is a DJ for dancing and the RHHSA provides ice cream treats. Back to School Night: It is very important to attend. You are able to meet your child’s teachers and visit the classrooms. Come see and hear what your child will be doing in their new class. Lunch Money: You are able to maintain an account at school for your child. This enables your child to buy food at the cafeteria without sending in money daily. Pretzels: Pretzels are sold on Wednesdays at recess. They are $.50. You can elect to prepay for the years worth of pretzels at the start of the school year. Bake Sales: The Rolling Hills Home and School Association has a bake sale once a month. Your child’s grade will be assigned a month to bake throughout the year. On bake sale day, your child may purchase a treat in the cafeteria after lunch for $.25 or you may elect to prepay for that year’s bake sales. Parent/Child Events: -Mother/Son Social, Mother/Daughter Social, Father/Son, Social, Father/Daughter Social. Family Events: -Winter Wonderland: Held on a week night in January, the Winter Wonderland event has arts and crafts, games and snacks. Fun for the whole family. Donations accepted for a local charity. -March Madness: March Madness is held on a Saturday. There are many games for the children to play, raffles, and food. Tickets may be purchased in advance. This is a great family event. -Trenton Family Fun Night: A fun family night out with the Rolling Hills community. Sometimes our 5th and 6th grade chorus is invited to sing at the game. Field Day/Picnic: Field Day is a day of fun and school spirit for the Rolling Hills students. The students are put on teams that mix the grade levels and are able to participate in team games and sports throughout the day. They are treated to a barbeque lunch by the RHHSA. Parents are invited to volunteer for field day or stop by and observe some of the fun. It is held on a school day in June. |
