Explaining Behavior Notices

What is a behavior notice?
 
Behavior notices are forms used when R.O.A.R.  rules are not being followed. They may be written by any staff member who observes the infraction.

What is on a behavior notice?

- The student's name
- The date
- The student's grade level
- Which rule was broken: This step allows students to refect on our school rules and make connections between their actions and what we expect at Hillcrest.
- A space for what occured
- Who was affected: This step encourages students to realize that their behaviors do not occur in isolation.
- A space for staff notes
