Richboro Staff will be offering homework club again this year to children in Grades3-6.Teachers will share this information with parents if they feel the child needs extra support in a subject or assistance with completing homework and with help in study skills. Sometimes we have students in second grade come to homework club as part of an Instructional support intervention.
It will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:40-4:30 in the library at Richboro Elementary. Parents or their designated replacement need to pick their child up in the front of the school at 4:30. The parents will also need to return a permission slip with the proper information.
CR North and South students help us on most days and earn LINCS hours throughout the year.
Spike Rules and credos apply in homework club too and parents will be contacted if there are problems. We will only be able to help about 15 students each session.
The children must bring their homework asssignment book to homework club with their assignments written down. They need to bring a book to read to start homework club and teachers in charge will write notes to parents/teachers to let them know what has been completed and if the child is experiencing trouble with the concepts.
Children may get extra help with study skills, content area subjects and reading or writing practice.
If the child has no homework we do give review on topics the teacher is concerned about during that marking period. This year we also are allowing students to complete First in Math or Study Island when they are done homework. Sixth graders often work on research projects or science labs during homework club. Homework club will start at the end of October or the beginning of November most school years..
