Departments

Kindergarten students saw the movie "Dr.Rabbit and the legend of the Tooth Kingdom." Every student received a Bright Smiles Family Pledge - promising to brush 2x/day, limit snacks and visit the dentist 2x/year. Every student who returned a signed pledge (signatures of the student and a parent), received a Super Family Award in recognition of their outstanding oral habits and bright shiny smiles.

First graders saw the movie "Geena's Tremendous Tooth Adventure."

Third graders saw the movie "The Incredible Ride." They took home the PA Dept of Health pamphlet "SODA IS BAD for your Teeth"

All programs stressed proper toothbrushing and flossing, care of the toothbrush, the importance of eating healthy snacks and limiting sugary starchy snacks and preventing oral accidents (mouth guards, keeping hands to yourself, proper use of playground equipment).
