Student Typing Speeds

7th and 8th grade students are tested using http://www.typingtest.com/ within the first week of their computer class rotation. Each student is given 10 minutes to take the one minute typing test multiple times to get their best net speed. The best net speeds are then collected, recorded and graphed as part of a class activity. Below are some of the results:

Though the actual typing speed increase for the 7th Grade hasn't been consistent from year to year, it has been fairly consistent for the 8th Grade.
